Dr. Bridget Fleming, Principal

Main Street Elementary Welcomes Dr. Bridget Fleming as New Principal for 2025–2026

Main Street Elementary is proud to announce that Dr. Bridget Fleming has been named principal for the 2025–2026 school year. Dr. Fleming currently serves as our assistant principal and brings nearly two decades of experience in education and school leadership.

“I am incredibly honored to serve as the next principal of Main Street Elementary,” Dr. Fleming shared. “It’s a privilege to continue working with our amazing staff, students, and families to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.”

Throughout her 19-year career, Dr. Fleming has served in both teaching and administrative roles across South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. Before joining Main Street, she was the assistant principal at Lake City Early Childhood Center of the Arts for five years and also served as a high school administrator in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Her teaching experience includes first, third, and fifth grades.

She has received several professional honors, including being named Teacher of the Year in 2016–2017 and a top-three finalist for Assistant Principal of the Year for three consecutive school years.

Dr. Fleming is a proud graduate of East Clarendon High School and holds degrees from Francis Marion University, Fayetteville State University, and Wingate University — where she earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership in 2024.

Rooted in the values of care, compassion, and high expectations, Dr. Fleming is dedicated to creating a positive and supportive school culture. She remains closely connected to the local community and is committed to making a lasting impact on the students and families of Main Street Elementary.
